Autism Delaware Partners with Challenger Leagues
Proudly supporting players of all abilities.

This year, Autism Delaware was excited to support Challenger League teams organized by Naamans Little League and Newark National Little League.
The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Games include "buddies” who help Challenger athletes with batting, base running and defense, but only as needed.
Games are usually 1-2 innings long and last about an hour. All players play defensively and bat every inning. Flexibility and adaptability are important in Challenger games.
Challenger teams accommodate players ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
The Naamans Little League Opening Day 2023 featured the Blue Rocks' mascot Rocky and included a first pitch by Delaware's Governor John Carney.Â
As we strive at Autism Delaware to promote inclusivity, we encourage the community to support the Challenger League's efforts as well. We look forward to partnering again next season!
There are currently over 950 Challenger programs in 10 countries around the world and over 30,000 athletes participate in the Challenger Division every year.
