In April 2023, Crothall Environmental Services (Crothall) awarded 11 employees supported by Autism Delaware their Employee of the Month Award for exemplary service as environmental technicians at Nemours Children's Hospital (Nemours) in Wilmington, DE.
Crothall provides vital environmental support services for Nemours, keeping patients and doctors in a safe environment through the work of a highly trained support service staff that cleans and disinfects medical equipment, patient rooms, and other common areas to reduce health-care assisted infections.
Autism Delaware supports eleven employees on the spectrum who serve as Crothall's environmental services technicians at Nemours.
"These awardees are happy, successful, and exemplary employees day in and day out -- we are honored to have them as a part of our team," said Director Kate Panto. "They truly deserve to be recognized for their outstanding work and we value the role they play in Crothall's efforts to appeal to a diverse range of people as an employer of choice."
The 11 outstanding Crothall employees are supported by Autism Delaware's Tracy Horn, Employment Services Manager; Joe Balinski, New Castle County Manager; and direct support professionals Sarah Guthrie, Cheryl Ross, and Theresa Avila.
